 5 Star Review- Reader's Favorite.

Toya Raylonn Vickers's Dimes, Profiles and Wives is a very engaging story about friendship and love in the contemporary world. Sharon's, Tracey's, and Destiny's stories can actually be read as stand-alone novels but having them together in one novel lets the reader look at a much bigger picture. Women can easily relate to the characters emotionally because, in spite of the growing independence of women today, having the right partner in life is what most of us still dream of. This novel will have readers laughing, crying, and swooning at one time or another. Tracey, Sharon and Destiney are certainly not perfect human beings but they all have redeeming qualities. Exploring positive and negative relationships, the narrative tries to uncover the many pitfalls and common errors in relationships and suggests that having God at the center of your relationship will result in harmony and longevity.

Sometimes romantic, sometimes tragic, Dimes, Profiles and Wives will also make you think about families and humanity. Indeed, reading this novel will help readers discover the reasons why relationships do not work and, perhaps by doing so, find the partner who is meant for them. The book also explores what it means to be a Proverbs 31 Woman in an ever-changing world and it is a very enlightening read. I recommend this book to men and women out there who are looking for the right person they can spend the rest of their lives with!

About the Author

Toya Raylonn Vickers was born in Toledo, raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently lives in Dallas, Texas as African American woman who loves the written word. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the Ohio State University and matriculated at Howard University to gain a Master's in Social Work. In 2003, exactly two months before she was to graduate from Howard with top honors, she was involved in a life threatening car accident. Unable to walk and obtain the master’s degree, she began writing, which was one of her lost talents, while in a hospital bed at Howard University Hospital. After an almost six month hospitalization she returned to Columbus, Ohio and began the long road to recovery.

During her fight to regain her place in society she was diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder. With immense strength and courage she began the road to healing. In 2006 after much prayer and fasting she returned to her first love of writing. She then penned her first novel Dimes, Profiles, and Wives, and it was published in 2010 by Xlibris. It was the first book of many to come from this author. She is a published poet and novice lyricist. She dares to showcase the light when darkness surrounds her and humbly writes to glorify God. She feels that even though her life has been filled with many obstacles she can still contribute to the world through her gift of writing. Toya Raylonn hopes that through her writing more people will come to know who God is as well as grow their faith. She believes that even the peculiar people, especially those with mental health issues, have a vital role in society and can help make the world a better place for everyone.
